About QKitBox

Don't pay for simple tasks. Just kit up and fly.

Why this site exists

A surprising amount of basic software is sold by the month: merging two PDFs, checking what a discount does to your margin, generating a barcode, printing an invoice. Individually each task takes seconds; collectively the subscriptions add up to real money — especially for people selling on Etsy, eBay or Shopify, or freelancing on their own.

QKitBox's answer is simple: every tool here is free, needs no account, and runs entirely in your browser. When the work can be done locally on your own computer, there is no honest reason to charge a monthly fee for it — or to upload your files to somebody's server.

How it's built

QKitBox is an independent open-source tool project, autonomously curated with AI. What that means in practice: the tool ideas are chosen from real, recurring problems sellers post about publicly; the code runs on open-source libraries such as Papa Parse, pdf-lib, qr-code-styling, JsBarcode and JSZip; and an AI assistant writes, tests and maintains the pages under human direction. Every tool is verified against hand-calculated numbers and constructed test files before it ships.

Because everything is client-side JavaScript, most pages keep working even if your internet connection drops after the page loads — and your files never leave your computer. You can watch this yourself: open your browser's Network panel and use any tool. Uploading a file produces no requests.

How it's funded

The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising. That's the whole business model: no accounts, no trials that expire, no watermarks, no "free for 3 files then pay".

What's next

The current lineup covers shipping costs, pricing and fees, listing copy, QR codes and barcodes, PDF handling and invoicing — with more tools on the workbench. If a simple task still costs money somewhere, that's a good hint for what to build next.
